Yesterday some unscrupulous person(s) created pages on Facebook and Instagram called “Red N Howling”. At quick glance, you could easily mistake them for my page—their obvious intention. They stole and are using my avatar and my art.
These fake pages sent many “friend requests” and false offers of monetary giveaways to my followers. I’ve tried to shut these pages down and Facebook and Instagram will not remove them. They say these pages “do not go against their community rules”. Many of you took time out of your busy day to warn me about these fake pages and also reported them. I am grateful for your help and support.
Please know that my ONLY account is “Red and Howling” (@RedandHowling) on Facebook/Instagram. I never send out friend requests nor do I ever have giveaways of money!
It is too easy to whip through our daily tasks and not notice details, but this is not always a good thing. We must all be vigilant amongst the scammers.
I’m sorry if you received a friend request from these fake pages. Please know that I care about your privacy and safety and I will do whatever I can to keep Red and Howling a safe and happy space for all of us! xoAmy

I love Red & Howling, I support it 100%, I just don’t understand Facebook anymore, I don’t even look at instagram at all, trued it didn’t like it. That’s why I’m glad I signed up to receive emails from Amy, so much better. 🥰🥰🥰😄

Shame on Facebook and Instagram!! They could easily have done the right thing. Sorry you had to go through all this, especially after moving during a pandemic.
I with everyone else here … I am so sorry for someone or something trying to make off with your heart’s work. I am saddened to learn this because your intentions are so pure and filled with love for animals and their people who love them. It just plain sucks. What’s worse is that the unscrupulous behavior is neither punished nor abated by confronting dishonest people. Maybe it is time for a few more hugs from your sweet dog! Sending you hugs of course!

I have encountered so many fake accounts on Facebook and Instagram and reported them, only to have F/I tell me that it doesn’t violate their “community standards”! HOW?! Stealing someone’s identity and work doesn’t violate their “community standards”, when it’s clearly a violation of the law?! Ridiculous.
Amy, this is disgusting! Your cartoons bring sunshine into our lives, and to learn this happened to you makes me furious! I know you have a lot going on right now so this only adds to your stress. I left both Twitter and FB, and now use MeWe instead of Facebook, and CloutHub as a Twitter alternative. You might want to look into these. You and your mom are in my prayers.

Just shows you what Facebook thinks about right or wrong. They just want the attention. Sorry for the harassing to you. I love your art and humor. They can’t steal your heart!

I am so sorry this is happening to you! Don’t take “no” from Facebook. Ask to speak to another person and emphasize the impact this is having on your business. Please keep us posted on your progress (or lack of) in getting this resolved. There’s an awful lot of people like me who want to help if we can. Chin up!

How awful that someone would do that to you when your darling cartoons bring so many happiness. Those who did this aren’t going to succeed at stealing your audience who adore your unique creations. We love Red and Howling and you, Amy!

Some people don’t care how they affect others with their actions. I absolutely love your art, Amy! I am grateful to you for bringing a smile to my face every time I see your magnets on my fridge as I am feeding my furbabies or letting them go O-U-T. I admit I have shared a couple of your pictures in our Greyhound Trust Facebook group but I always give you full credit. I despair at some of the people in the world who care about nobody but themselves. In the UK at the moment we are having scammers preying on old people worried about the virus and offering vaccinations for a cost when they are free to all via the National Health Service.
I hadn’t seen the fake pages but will keep an eye out. It’s just despicable what these people will do.
So sorry Ms Amy. Shame on Facebook. I’m such a fan of yours and hate that some scammers are trying to take advantage of you. Hopefully they have stopped and you can get some ☮️of mind. Much ❤️to you always!
It was obvious that they copied your page, you could see by many of the posts had the same page and it was just created.
The most current post was trying to entic a person , by saying they won something and to go to a website. By the comments, they asked for your credit card number. How much more info does Facebook/Instagram need to consider this suspicious? Just a few minutes after I blocked and reported the page it seemed to disappear. So hopefully alot of folks reported it. So sorry this happened to you. Love 💘 your drawings!
One more reason for me to leave Facebook. This really takes the cake. How horrible, they clearly have no talent of their own. Well if Facebook does not care, we do. Good by Facebook!

This is why I am so happy you send these emails out. I left Facebook months ago and have left all social media as of last week. “Social” media has become the most anti-social thing around. Fight these A—holes with all you have!! Integrity and we your fans are with you!!
That is so utterly despicable, and it’s also disgraceful that Facebook and Instagram will not take down these fake pages which clearly are attempting to deceive people and plagiarise your work.
